In 2005 the Black Market Tour camped out in the Ignition Valley. Together with Ignition they did an Austria tour AND the craziest party ever. Julian Bah, Will Gorden, Michael Broud, Brent Hicks, Jeremy Stephenson and Doug Urquhart. And also a lot of skaters from Austria and Germany.

All started with a BBQ and skate session in front of the Ignition House. And at night there was THE party.

Our plan was to renovate the bar after this party. So it was clear that something crazy had to happen. We just invited some local friends and all the skaters. But in the end 70 skaters and 160 other party guests showed up. Take live acts like Reckhams Revenge, DJ ND AGE MOON and the Blind Pilots and a motto like: “don’t be careful with the inventory”. Sure that it was time for an escalation.

At 2 in the night we stopped the normal bar business and we started to give out free drinks. Result: mayhem.

All I can remember:
I walked with a big “Ignition Mass” through the bar and met all the others. As soon as I started to drink they wanted me to drink it all at once and started screaming and everything. I finished it, threw the class down and started a fight with a bar chair. Philipp started it too and he was the first one who destroyed it. A short silence... but just short! 15 Minutes later none of the 15 bar chairs had survived. Full cases of beer, bottles, just everything that wasn’t fixed was flying around. This wasn’t a bar anymore. It was a crazy party battlefield.

I will never forget this party. It set a new benchmark. Even for Ignition parties.

  • 3 broken tables
  • 40 broken glasses
  • 10 ashtrays
  • 2 people talking and puking the same time
  • 6 lacerations
  • 3 bruises
  • 4 huge full garbage cans
